Here you get a two-for-one celebrity analysis: Jennifer Jason Leigh (one of my favorite actresses), and Axl Rose (one of my favorite rock stars). They were born one day apart, February 5th (JJL) and February 6th (Axl), in 1962, under a Grand Stellium in Aquarius. Axl's birth time is unknown, so I made a hypothetical chart for him with Aries Rising, which seems to fit, but I won't delve into his house or Part placements.
To the chart that we know is correct: JJL has all 7 traditional planets in Aquarius! All in the 9th house, with Gemini Rising. In addition, all 3 outer planets are singleton: Uranus the only Fire placement, Neptune the only Water, and Pluto the only Mutable AND only Earth, making houses 3, 6, and 10 emphasized (Axl, with the Moon in Pisces, ends up with only Uranus and Pluto singletons, and Pluto only singleton once over).
Let's dig into that stellium, which cannot be ignored: in the 9th, the Sun rejoices, and Aquarius is Saturn's home (making it final dispositor). Moon, Venus, and Mars are all contrary, being night planets in a day chart, above the horizon, and in a masculine sign. Mercury, being retrograde and less 1 degree away, is just barely ahead of the Sun, making it a morning star, and in hayz, along with Jupiter and Saturn. 3 planets contrary, 3 hayz. The Moon, Venus, Mars and Jupiter are all combust or under beams, but Saturn is NOT: it moved out of the Sun's beams within a week of her birth (3 days, to be precise). Even more, Mercury is also not technically combust, but rather cazimi, a powerful dignity (the "heart of the sun," so close that rather being burned by the Sun, it fuses with it). Axl's Mercury, in contrast, will be combust, and thus debilitated.
The Sun and Mercury (chart ruler) being in the same sign means they have the same triplicity lords: Saturn (super potent), Mercury (ditto), and Jupiter (less so) as assistant. All three are in the 9th house, which indicates fairly average dignity, but their status is overall great. Furthermore, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter all gain prominence by their proximity to the Midheaven, at 23 Aquarius.
What are the Parts like? Fortune and Spirit both in Gemini, in the 1st house (very good, with Mercury so well placed), Necessity (acting as Basis) at 6 Cancer, 2nd house (with the Moon contrary, but rendered very potent AND a bit debilitated), and Exaltation at 15 Leo, 3rd house (opposite the Sun, tightly, which is rejoicing).
So with all that dignity (and outer planets emphasized!), why hasn't she been more successful as an actress? Part is likely the 9th house emphasis, which, while not a "bad" house, is relatively weak. She has a very powerful chart, but not especially "royal." Another is just aging: Hollywood is awful to actresses past a certain age. She DID become very successful in the 80s and 90s, and won an awful lot of critical acclaim. That's vastly more successful than most aspiring actresses can ever hope to be.
Turning to her time twin, Axl, what might be different? He's had a career featuring near-permanent fame, even as he became a recluse and basically quit releasing new music. He's not the rock god he once was (and has aged terribly), but he's still making millions each and every year. The reason I think an Aries Ascendant makes sense is multifold: it puts the stellium in the 11th, which is a more powerful place than the 9th, the Uranus singleton in the 5th (creative expression, and he LOVED shocking people), Pluto singleton in the 6th (leading to workplace power struggles and dictatorial qualities with his bandmates). The Moon in Pisces (the one different placement) would be not only badly out of sect, but in the 12th house (self-destruction), which sounds about right for his emotional nature. Also, Mars as chart ruler makes ample sense, particularly while contrary, and the stellium in the 11th of friends and groups makes sense: he made it as a member of a band, and never went solo, even when everybody else quit or got fired!
That said, I've never done a rectification; I've always found the subject suspect, but it's fun to think about. In any case, early February of 1962 produced some very exceptionally talented, interesting people.
